Last Vegas is a comedy of old fellas that were either leading men or supporting actors back in the 1970s to present.  As this film shows, actors tend to age well, especially these four good looking guys in Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline and Morgan Freeman.  Watching this movie was really a spur of the moment for me.  I had not seen the trailer, only knowing that the movie is about a bunch of "elderly" people.  Boy was I pleasantly surprised.

Not that the movie isn't about senior citizens, it is.  Every weak bladder, keeping on schedule with the meds, and keeping it up joke is right there with these old folks.  However, the experience, and skills that these men deliver these jokes with are what makes this a great comedy to watch.  All four men are spot on, in their deliveries.  The story is well written with lots of humorous situations and even tear jerking moments.

The story can be best described as one of friendship, loyalty and love.  Michael Douglas's character Billy is getting married for the first time in his life, even though he's in his late 60's.  His friends all celebrate with him in Las Vegas which reminds us of Hangover.  It doesn't get as crazy as Hangover, but rather stays quite PG-13 for most of the movie.  But it just goes to show that a movie does not have to be crazy over the top to make you laugh.  Michael Douglas is not known for Comedies and it shows in this film.  It's been awhile since I've seen Kevin Kline in anything but I just adore him in this film.  And of course Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman are in every other film we see (half jokingly).  Morgan Freeman being my second favorite actor in the film after Kevin Kline.  Another veteran, Mary Steenburgen as a romantic interest of Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro's character also was quite delightful in the film.

Overall, I would highly recommend this film.  The film showcases how talented these men are in this all-star ensemble.  With all the nice eye candy, you can argue that it's more of a male type of movie more so than Hangover surprisingly.  But the females will definitely enjoy the romance in the film besides the hilarious gags.  The cute love triangle from the past to the present will move you to tears.
