Wizard World Comic Con New York City Experience is just two days away, are you going?  This is the first year they are running the show under the "NYC Experience" title, with a new location at Pier 36.  Looking at what's offered, it's quite similar to Philadelphia Comic Con, but the number of Exhibitors look smaller in comparison.  As part of the "experience" with their recent shows, there are celebrities you can autographs of or take photos with, for a fee.

The featured guests includes Star Trek and The Walking Dead stars as well comic book icon Stan Lee among the many other guests.  And for the first time you can take a cruise around the city with cast members of The Walking Dead!  Of course, for an additional fee.  What's also interesting is that some of the panels will be held outdoors.  This weekend is expected to be in the low 80s but chances of thunderstorms on all three days.  The show is expected to go on, rain or shine.

So who's coming as far as guests?

Patrick Stewart
Norman Reedus

Some of the cancellations thus far include Artist Mike Deodato, Jim Cheung, sports icons Brian Leetch and Lawrence Taylor and actors Dean Cain and Jon Bernthal.

As far as exclusives, the most noteworthy would be the continuation of alternate covers of The Walking Dead #1 at each of their Comic Cons this year.  New York's cover is done by Neal Adams who will be at the convention.  A color variant cover is available free to all who purchases admission.  While the sketch variant cover is only available free to those who purchase a VIP admission.

The programming for the show can be found here:

Tips for those visiting from out of town.  You can park at Pier 36 for flat rate of $40 a day.  Alternatively you can usually find parking in Chinatown for a lot cheaper but have to walk about 10-15 minutes to the convention site.  Also, since the location is by Chinatown, be sure to get some good cheap eats there.  South Street Seaport is also close by if you follow the FDR south.  If you wish to visit by Public Transportation, the closest subway to the convention is the F train to East Broadway.  Warning, that particular train station is not the safest in the city in the late evenings.

I will be at the convention covering all of the action with tons of photos and hope to see you there.  So who's coming?  Tickets can be purchased here or at the show.
