It's great whenever a corporation like DC Entertainment can lend their support toward a great cause.  They invite you to be a Hero in their We Can Be Heroes campaign by having some amazing artwork by various artists up for auction on eBay.  The proceeds from the auctions will be split evenly among three charities which are Save the Children, International Rescue Committee and Mercy Corps.  DC Entertainment with your help hopes to fight hunger in Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya.  All of the auctions end July 27th.

Here are a few of my favorites up for auction:

One of the few pieces that actually addresses the theme of the campaign.  Quite moving indeed!  Superman Holding Child, Ink on Paper by Scott McDaniel. Check out auction here.

One of my top three favorite pieces, featuring artwork by Jim Lee, designed by Grammy nominated Chris Daughtry.  Seeing the progression among the three panels is quite cool.  Rescue Me Batman, Ink on Paper by Chris Daughtry and Jim Lee.  Check out auction here.

With the recent Man of Steel movie, who wouldn't want the iconic "hope" symbol amidst a mosaic   Forever, Digital Illustration by John Rivoli.  Check out auction here.

I actually owned a commissioned Catwoman from Sara Richard.  Her art is always breath taking.  Beautiful as Aphrodite, Digital Illustration by Sara Richard.  Check out auction here.

Yes, Wonder Woman seems to be quite popular among the artists.  Here's another beauty.   Wonder Woman Flowers, Digital Illustration by Julie Palmer.  Check out auction here.
By renown colorist Hi-Fi (aka Brian Miller), this piece is just gorgeous.  We Can Be Heroes America's Farmers Can Feed The World, Ink on Paper by Hi-Fi.  Check out the auction here.
An original painting by Jim Lee, how rare is that!  Batman: Justice, Acrylic and Spray Paint on Canvas by Jim Lee. Check out the auction here.

I'm a big fan of his work on American Vampire.  If you are too, then you'll want to bid on Trinity, Ink on Paper by Rafael Albuquerque. Check out the auction here.

The shining star of the auctions has to be the 2013 Kia Sorento featuring a custom paint job with the Justice League.  To make things even sweeter, the tail gate features hand drawn original art by Jim Lee.  Check out the auction here.

Hopefully DC Entertainment is able to far exceed their fund raising goals and continue to do more of these!
