My apologies on being behind on the reviews.  This episode came out last week and was highly anticipated due to the character appearing on the show.  That of course being Franklin Hall (Ian Hart).  Franklin Hall if you're not familiar with, goes by the alias Graviton in Marvel comic books.  He is a super villain that is able to manipulate gravity to his will causing things to fly up or crashing down.  He is considered one of the more powerful villains in Marvel due to his powers and usually faces an entire team of super heroes like the Avengers or Thunderbolts.

In the episode "The Asset", we are only introduced to Franklin Hall.  He is being escorted by S.H.I.E.L.D., when their convoy is ambushed by a mysterious unseen force.  Because of this, Agent Coulson and his team are called in to investigate and rescue Franklin.  It turns out that Franklin was kidnapped by his former research partner Ian Quinn to help him complete a project that Franklin had started long ago.

The episode is interesting in that it let's us see Skye as an undercover agent for the first time.  As well, we have Ming-Na Wen's character Melinda itching to return back to action.  The big question for this episode though of course is if we see "Graviton", and the answer is sort of.  Through three episodes we have yet to see them take on any super villains from the Marvel Comics.  But there is hope from this episode.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode though the acting and dialogue at times seems to be a bit poorly executed.  I enjoyed Skye's interaction with Grant, but not so much when Skye was trying to talk her way with Quinn.  Unfortunately no appearances by either Cobie or Samuel this time around.

What did you think of the third episode?
