The 111th annual American International Toy Fair is just a month away, are you going?  The largest toy industry event unfortunately is not open to the public.  But here's how you can be invited.  There are basically two groups that invited to this exclusive event for free, which are Buyers and Press.

What falls into the categories of Buyers and Press?  For Buyers that includes: retailers, wholesalers, importers, and buying groups.  And for the Press that includes: journalists, editors, bloggers, correspondents, producers, and photographers/camera crews.  As with any convention, there are strict vetting processes so that not any tom and dick can qualify with false credentials.  Besides these two groups, you can purchase admission as part of the Trade or as a non-exhibiting manufacturer.  Despite the event being every child's dream, children under the age of 18 are not allowed into the event.

Just what is at the American International Toy Fair?  Toys of course!  How about more than 1,000 exhibiting manufacturers, distributors, importers and sales agents showcasing about 150,000+ new toys.  From toys for preschoolers to the latest electronic gadgets, the impressive lists of exhibitors include Gund, Konami, Mattel Inc. and many more.  The event is held over four days at the Jacob Javits Center and includes panels and seminars relating to the toy industry.

I won't be able to make it this year due to a schedule conflict.  But if you do, please share some pictures with us!
