"Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is an interesting twist on Jane Austen's widely celebrated novel. A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century Britain, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Casting aside personal pride and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy must unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another."

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, a catchy title that isn't your typical classic tale. Adapted original from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, the movie is based on the book of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith. This is a very ambitious movie that in my opinion delivers. I must admit when I first heard about this it made me kinda mad. The fact they would take a classic and turn it into a zombie book which will become a movie many years later made me crazy. Stepping into the theater my first thought was oh God please don't let this suck! I found that the movie was well written and flowed well with creativity and excitement. And how can you not like a movie with ass-kicking sword-wielding hot chicks.
Among the cast, I found Matt Smith of (Dr Who fame) a welcome edition to the Hollywood scene and in this movie he carried himself very well. As for Ms. Lily James she made It look believable that she could kick zombie ass! I would let her defend me come the zombie apocalypse. Now as for Lena Heady is there anything that woman isn't good at. I found the whole cast had chemistry and worked very well together.
While the film could have used more zombie action in some of the attacks, the movie in general was good. Cinematography was excellent, costumes and set was all on point in keeping with the original idea of Jane Austen's. No matter which way you slice this movie the fact is this film is worth watching. It is a few hours of fun and insane style entertainment that honestly by the end you are left with the feeling of what the hell did I just watch? Wow I actually enjoyed that, to the point that I hope that there is a sequel to the film. Come February 5th don't deny yourself a little zombie treat and go see this movie.
